Life is fragile - exploring the dark side and the light side which can go either way. Sometimes the dark side can take over and infest the light side.

Process of creating the "Fragile" work

Japanese silk paper covered with acrylic in and gently rubbed to produce fragile fibres

Created square block with modelling clay and created a box to surround the block for mould making

The clay cube is inside the box and Pinkysil is mixed up, ready to pour into the box

Moulds are created

Resin is prepared to pour into moulds which have been dusted with cornflour to create a frosted look

Once the resin has hardened which takes a few hours, they come out of the moulds and then need to be sanded around the top edges to make them smooth
